Travel to Trillevallen

There are daily direct flights from Stockholm, and some weeks during the winter there are direct flights from Gothenburg. From Åre-Östersund Airport, the travel time is about one hour.

There are also daily departures with direct and night trains from Malmö, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Uppsala, and Gävle.

Taking the bus is a convenient and affordable option from Stockholm, Uppsala, and Sundsvall.

If you are driving, the journey takes you along fine European roads or scenic inland routes. From Trillevallen to Åre village, it’s 11 miles.

Parking Fees for the Winter Season 2024/2025 – Aimo Park’s App

During the winter season, paid parking is available in Trillevallen between these dates: December 26 – January 7 and February 12 – April 27. This applies to the parking areas at the ski area and the cross-country skiing tracks from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The cost is 20 SEK per hour or 65 SEK per day. Parking is free on other dates.

It is always free for those who purchase a ski pass or have a season track pass/year pass in Ottsjö and Trillevallen, or have booked accommodation at Välliste Högfjällshotell AB. Note: Vehicles eligible for free parking must be registered at the lift ticket office or the reception during check-in. If no registration is made, there is a risk of a parking fine!

Electric Vehicle Charging:

In Trillevallen, there are 10 charging stations for electric vehicles: 4 located below the Högfjällshotellet and 6 at the ski parking area.

Flight

There are daily direct flights from Stockholm to Åre-Östersund Airport with both SAS and BRA. The airport is about an hour’s taxi transfer from Trillevallen, and several taxi companies offer discounted transfer rates (only during the winter season). Another option is Trondheim/Værnes International Airport, located about 2 hours from Trillevallen. You can find information about airport buses and flight taxis here.

If you arrive by plane, you can book a flight taxi by calling +46 8 120 920 00 or visiting www.flygtaxi.se (provide your flight number). The pickup point is Åre Sportshop. We offer free pickup between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM if you inform us at least 48 hours before your arrival (this service is available only during the winter season and certain weeks in the summer). For your return trip and for arrivals after 6:00 PM, we can assist in ordering a taxi.

There are daily departures with day and night trains from Malmö, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Uppsala, and Gävle, among others. The trains stop in Undersåker, where Trillevallen’s transfer service offers free pickup during the period from June 28 to August 11, on weekdays between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, provided that you notify us at least 72 hours before your arrival. (This service is only available during the winter season and certain weeks in the summer). For your return trip and arrivals after 4:00 PM, we can assist in booking a taxi.

Bus

Traveling with ÅreBussen is an affordable option for both small and large groups. If you’re just a few people, the cheapest way is to travel with ÅreBussen’s regular departures according to the timetable. For larger groups, you can travel in a private bus at a fixed price. We pick up all our guests who arrive by bus at Undersåker between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, provided you notify us at least 48 hours before your arrival.

Taxi
