Summer

Midnight hike

Bright summer nights in the Jämtland mountains are something you want to savor. Experiencing midnight from a mountain peak is truly magical!

We leave the parking lot by the lifts in Trillevallen at 9:30 PM and hike up Välliste. Perhaps the mountain nightingale—the bluethroat—will sing for us.

Forgotten Trails

Join us in the glade of the Siberian jays with a view of the mountains. Feel how the forest brings a sense of calm and clears your mind.

We hike through the magical forest near the mountains in the Vålådalen Nature Reserve. Here, ancient, bearded trees provide joy for Siberian jays, small birds, and other creatures.

Forest bath

Immerse yourself in the forest with all your senses.
Feel the stress melt away and the joy of life spread throughout your body. The forest enchants—almost like meditation, but not quite.
We focus on the forest—savoring the scent of sun-warmed pine needles, or perhaps the aroma of rain-soaked birch leaves.

Forest-Crazy Kids

In the forest behind Vallbo Chapel, we guess animal droppings and taste wood sorrel.
Shall we make animals out of pinecones? We’ll also check how far a hare can actually jump and compare it to your jump.
Maybe we’ll even fry some pancakes.

Winter

Moonlight Tour

Nature is magical in the dark. Snow-covered spruces cast shadows over the glittering snow. We savor the darkness and the tranquility.

We chat about the animals that live here in the snow and cold. If we’re really lucky, the Northern Lights will dance across the sky before we say goodnight!

Forest bath

Forest bathing is all about letting go of performance and expectations.
Enjoy the forest in whatever way feels right to you. Hug a tree to boost your immune system. Crush a pine needle and savor its scent. Forest bathing offers rest and rejuvenation for both body and soul.

Animals and nature

Learning to interpret tracks in nature is fun, exciting, and sparks the imagination. The natural world has so much to tell—if you know what to look for.

Strap on your touring skis and join us. Who on earth has left “cheese doodles” in the snow?
