Åre Ljusfabrik (Åre Candel Factory), formerly known as Åreljuset, was founded by Magnus and Sara Wennergren in 1990. The old fire station in Undersåker, about 10 km from Åre, was transformed into a candle workshop. Since spring 2017, Åre Ljusfabrik has been run by Elisabeth and Johan Hallbäck.

All candles are made in a traditional, handcrafted manner at the workshop in Undersåker. The candles come in various lengths and sizes but are free from bright colors. Our candles are made from high-quality raw materials, giving them a long burn time. The product range also includes specially designed candles, the popular Tändälgarna, torch candles, and various candle holders.
